Finding a job
The job market is currently under a great deal of stress, in Italy. Jobs are not well paid as in the US, England, etc, but are certainly more stable. If you're looking for a "simple job" and you don't have a very senior profile, you may get in touch with one of the many agencies operating on the market.
Metis, ManPower are some of the few famous ones.
You can browse the web looking for jobs of course, and here are some of the websites that might help you: corriere lavoro, lavoro.it, ...
If you want to work in the ICT field you may apply to companies like Accenture, Visiant, Altran, Pride, ValueTeam, Reply. They all offer development and consultancy for big clients in the fields of Telecommunication, Banking, Public Administration, Energy, Media, etc ...
There are many different type of contracts:
- Tempo indeterminato: offers a more stable job and full coverege, both heatlh injury-insurance, and a pension schemes.
- Tempo determinato: similar to the previous one, but with a deadline, usually a year or two.
- A progetto: the job is connected to a particular project. It's more unstable but usually taxes are lower
- Stage: it's most of the time not paid for or wages only cover expenses. It's mostly applied to new graduates or people with no experience.
