Power supply in Italy is similar to the one you find in India and in many other countries of Western and Central Europe.

Power is supplied at 220v and 50 hz.

Unfortunately plugs can vary in shape. Some examples can be previewed in the images attached to this article.

Power plug A is the most common and can support upto 10 Amperes. It's widespread in small electrical appliances like Cell Phone, Radios, TVs, etc.

Plug B can support upto 16 A and is less common. C-type is a combination of the previous two.

D is the german type, commonly called schuko. It's widely used in refrigerators, A/C, irons, microwaves etc.
